The FR Skates FR1 should be THE industry-standard skate. Whilst that’s only our opinion, analysing customer feedback and the skate’s own incredible sales record, it would make sense for almost every skater to have the FR1 in their arsenal at some point during their skating timeline. It is genuinely awesome.
The hard shell boot has undergone rigorous testing from elite athletes to ensure it offers both excellent performance and shock absorption. This means the skate is responsive whilst reducing road vibrations for a smoother ride. The boot's wide lace opening makes the fitment easy and accessible. The multi-positional cuff tailers ankle support to individual needs. The liner is (hands-down) the most comfortable we’ve seen. Cushioned foam hugs the foot in all the right places, furthering the skate's fatigue management.
The FR1 baseplate is a big part of what makes the skate shine, although it's hidden when in use.
The baseplate allows users to adjust the frame position in all directions to personalise the ride, strides, and push-offs. But, the top characteristic is its contribution to energy transfer. The plate works with the frame and boot to provide exceptional responsiveness without impacting the comfort of the skate.
The 4D frame is lightweight, robust and ergonomically designed for performance. Combined with Street Invader II Wheels and MW9 bearings, the setup is seriously elite.
For the best performance, inline skates should have a snug fit. It's not necessary to buy inline skates one size larger than your foot size; as they break in, all inline skates will expand and widen over time. It's important to know that soft boots will expand more than hybrid or carbon boots.
3 EASY STEPS TO MEASURE YOUR FEET:
Add extra MM to select your confort zone We recommend adding betweer, 3 to 5 mm to your foot length taking the thickness of your socks into account.
Should I measure the size of my shoe’s insole? NO. The Powerslide sizing charts refer to the size of the last and not the size of the insoles which are always a few mm smaller.
