Undercover Apex 60 - Some of the fastest aggressive skating wheels ever made. Designed for skatepark skating. Aluminum core, 88A UHR compound, 60mm.
Description
The Undercover Apex 60 were made to solve a specific problem in aggressive skating: most wheels in this segment sacrifice speed for durability, or vice versa. Undercover went with an extruded, CNC-machined aluminum core, a process that gives it far more rigidity than conventional plastic cores. The result is near-instant energy transfer on every push, which translates into faster acceleration and sustained speed inside the bowl.
The 88A UHR (Ultra High Rebound) polyurethane compound completes the equation with an uncommon balance: enough hardness to roll fast, but with the ability to absorb hard landing impacts without transmitting them straight to your knees. The interlock core design creates a mechanical bond between the aluminum and the urethane that reduces the risk of de-coring, a known problem in metal-core wheels subjected to intense lateral loads.
The profile is rounded bullet-style, which minimizes the contact surface and favors maneuverability on transitions and carving in the bowl. At 24 mm wide and 60 mm in diameter, they keep a low center of gravity, something park skaters value for feeling stable when landing tricks and maintaining control at high speeds. They are sold in 4-packs, with no bearings or spacers included.

Ideal for Intermediate or advanced aggressive skaters who skate mainly in skateparks with smooth surfaces (wood or polished concrete) and want to gain speed without sacrificing grip. If your priority is rolling fast in the bowl, maintaining speed between tricks, and landing with stability, these wheels are designed exactly for that. They are also worth considering if you are coming from plastic-core wheels and want to feel a real difference in response and durability.
Before you buy
Check compatibility with your frame. The 60 mm diameter is standard for aggressive skating, but some anti-rocker frames or specific setups may require adjustments. Check the maximum wheel size specification of your skate.
Bearings are not included. You will need 608 bearings and 8 mm spacers to mount them. If your current wheels have them, you can reuse them.
Use a bearing press when installing them. The aluminum core is much stiffer than plastic. Trying to insert bearings by hand can damage both the bearing and the core. A press ensures even pressure and prevents rolling issues.
The bullet profile prioritizes speed and maneuverability over absolute stability. On very uneven surfaces or if you are a beginner, you may feel less grip than with a wider profile.
For the best performance, inline skates should have a snug fit. It's not necessary to buy inline skates one size larger than your foot size; as they break in, all inline skates will expand and widen over time. It's important to know that soft boots will expand more than hybrid or carbon boots.
3 Easy steps to measure your feet:
Add extra MM to select your confort zone We recommend adding betweer, 3 to 5 mm to your foot length taking the thickness of your socks into account.
Should I measure the size of my shoe’s insole? NO. The Powerslide sizing charts refer to the size of the last and not the size of the insoles which are always a few mm smaller.
